Well...THAT was uplifting!

First of all, I need a sarcasm font.Let's see....(I spelled sarcasm; sacasam, and it makes me want to write it sarkazam!)How about this sarcasm. Mmmm, yes. That'll do nicely.

Second of all, Well...THAT was uplifting!
Let's just simply say, yay for that pregnancy being over and in the past, shall we?And, on to the recovery efforts!(A little update, my kids became THOSE kids from the point in my previous post until this present day. However, we are healing and beginning to properly bond and behave again, and things are improving.)

Thirdly, I have a new all inclusive blog called "Learning As We Go (My web LAWG) in which I can voice the many aspects of my life in one place, SO! I will be moving this blog over there.:)

Come on over, folks! My brain is as back and FUNKtional as ever!

October!I haven't posted since October!!!!

Actually, that makes sense,my life became over-run by newspaper routes and surviving pregnancy in the midst of those routes in October.ug.

But enough of that,What I came in to quip about today,is the disaster that is my life.I know, inspiring, right?

The thing is, it's bad and scary enough that I need to laugh about it,so here we go....

In the kitchen this afternoon, when I peeled myself (at the risk of my bowels exploding) off the couch downstairs to fetch some food for myself, the baby in my womb, and the two youngest children, what to my wondering eyes did appear, but WHOAH!!!!!!!! An unknown confetti on the floor, and stairs, mingled in with cracked eggshells, an overflowing garbage can, a stack of glasses on the table, I now realize must have been for a lunch drink, with the top glass broken and -I kidd you not-bloody pawprints on the kitchen tile.A lot of them.
On the table with the stacked and broken glasses, were almost every pan in the house containing a cooked and uneaten meal, which I re prepared for myself and the younglings,as one of them casually knocked a ground and wetted concoction of rocks-cement-something onto the floor. As I noted the entire years-worth of science curriculum on the table amid other things such as the vinegar, baking soda,honey,dishsoap,etc...I was bruising my sore sinuses yelling to the older three, the three I thought I could trust with some level of responsibility to come and explain and remove at least this top layer of disaster. After being yelled at three times, they did.

And as I type, I am joined by a smeared banana, here on the computer desk.

This better be a funny memory one day.A fond turning point?A lesson learned?Something?

Not two days ago, before I was oblitterated by every illness I have avoided for the last 6 months hitting all at once,I had belived all was well.I had belived I was preparing my household with the sructure and ability to continue running smoothly after the birth of the baby.I belived I could trust the judgement and sense of responsibility of my oldest 3 children.I belived my tireless efforts were of some value.

I was sorely mistaken. And that hurts worse than the sinus cold in my head.

The Curriculum Of The Day.

Today's curriculum is YEAST!Yay!!!(the good kind!)

I've been wanting to make some wheat bread for a while now, so I spent a good hour finding and bleaching the kitchen counter. Then I got out the biggest bowl in the house and put in the yeast and the water and the honey and the oil.At this point the girls all came in and wanted to be a part of whatever was going on!Dylan was interested in the living yeast.Earlier this week we had read a library book called "The Secret Science Project That Almost Ate The School." By Judy Sierra, with very fun pictures by Stephen Gammell. The book features a "mutant yeast",which grows and grows when fed sugar. So, naturally Dyl and I did an experiment; we removed two equal portions of the bread recipe and added and equal amount of salt to one, and sugar to the other. As we observed the experiment, Eve began adding the flour to the bread and Pearl wanted to be involved,so she took over the experiments, measuring and adding 1/4 teaspoon amounts of flour to each experiment. This inspired Dylan to work with Pearl making bread recipes with the experiments to further observe the differences.SO,as I type the breads are rising and the girls are putting their finishing touches on their breads. This should be both tasty and interesting!(The boys spent this time watching pbs,Eli in hopes of a Scooby Doo naptime movie.)

Apple's game

Sometimes I think Apple is playing their own game of "Let's Make An i-Deal!" Remember, back when ideals had nothing to do with technology?

So...what if....

Here's the thing.I am being strongly inspired to move the fam back to SLC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is not my plan!I am quite happy and content here!(or I was until the universe put me in a funk for denying the SLC idea)There will be some perks, like returning to the OC, and cultural stimulation in close proximity....But I love the quiet here! The stars! The space, this dream house we live in,our yard and garden. Not to mention, I have made some really great friends!I have invested a lot of LIFE to this place and I was planning on reaping the benefits for years to come! But NOOOOOOOOOOO! Some life destination is calling to us from SLC and we can only deny it by living in a funk for the rest of our lives....SNOT GONNA HAPPEN.So,here we go!

just thinking of more words like normalcy

I was just thinking of more words like normalcy(I mentioned how that word annoys me, and sounds fake and has irritated me since it's overuse in the days/years following 9-11)Just in case any of the media need a new catchy NON word to get our attention again....

Seriosity.(as in;The seriosity of the situation continues to increase.)
Complacentness.(as in;The complacentness of the misinformed seems to be growing.)
Absurderocity.(as in the absurderocity of things is getting out of hand.)

In short, the mediocreness of our (general public) education system is learning all the persons of the future to get lame talking skills and the media just embraces whatever gets attenticated to and then it looks like a real word, and it's a viciousterocity of a cycle,and......well, it just really needs to get suffixed!
